China Truer IP Successfully Maintains Validity of All Patents for Italian Customer
Recently, the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) decided after reviewing the No. 19810 invalidation announcement request that it maintained the validity of all claims of the patent "solenoid valve assembly for a combustible gas supply device to an endothermic engine" (Patent No. 200680014413.9) for our Italian customer, Matrix S.p.A.
The decision is greatly significant to Matrix S.p.A's ongoing patent infringement litigation at Shanghai High People's Court. Earlier, China Truer IP has successfully helped Matrix, who is the plaintiff, win the first hearing at Shanghai First Intermediate People's Court. The defendant, Shanghai Exon Gas Co., Ltd., was found guilty of infringing on Matrix's patent for a solenoid valve assembly. The defendant appealed the decision and concurrently requested the Patent Reexamination Board of the SIPO to invalidate the patent. As the agency for this patent during its application and licensing stages, China Truer IP was again fully entrusted by to handle the invalidation reexamination process. Truer's patent attorneys Wang Zhenyu and Zhao Yefu prepared a written statement with respect to the invalidation request and participated in the oral hearing debate organized by the Patent Reexamination Board, and managed to maintain the validity of all claims of this patent.
