Recently, the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office made review decisions on the invalidation announcement application (No. 20282) and declared that Shenzhen ChinaIC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (a customer of China Truer IP) could maintain validity for all the claims of its "Scanning method of the keyboard scanning circuit" patent (patent number: 200910135028.5).

Shenzhen China Truer IP was the agent for the Shenzhen ChinaIC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. for its application for a patent for the invention "keyboard scanning circuit and its scanning method" and its divisional application "scanning method of the keyboard scanning circuit", and both of them were authorized. On July 30, 2012, Shenzhen Titan Micro Electronics Co., Ltd. requested an invalidation announcement of the later patent from the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office. Its reasons for invalidation announcement covered Articles 22, 26, and 33 of the patent law and Article 20 of the implementing regulations of the patent law and other articles. Entrusted by Shenzhen ChinaIC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (the patentee), China Truer IP agented the invalidation proceeding. Wang Zhenyu and Zhao Yefu, patent agents of China Truer IP, responded to this invalidation announcement with written defenses and participated in the oral proceeding of the reexamination board. Patent agents of China Truer IP made an adequate and powerful defense on all the invalidation reasons of the applicant in the written defense and oral hearing debate. They succeeded in maintaining validity for all the claims of this patent and further maintained and consolidated the rights and interests of the patentee.
